That was a great movie, it's truly sad that people ( white people) once believed it was ok to own another person. What is truly sad is that still today All people treat each other so badly. God Help us. What a life if we all humans would just give each other a pinch of Respect. [

yes there slavery all around the world but we are talking about America which build it self up to being a super power in few centuries from a wilderness on the back of black people from farming cotton which was the biggest source of income in America in the 1810- 1860

it is a sad that the people who treat the enslaved black in the time of the US states slavery will not take responsibility for their forefathers actions and see how hard if it was for the families to live in this country for the black people to held down and treated like animals

great movie. 1 of my favorites. sad, beautiful, informative and insightful. after watching this how could black people not want better 4them selves or our own people. we as a people I'm sure disappoints our ancestors . no longer slaves 2 white people but 2 the stereotype about us

yes other countries had and have some form of slavery thru out history but the US government allowed it to include the children grandchildren and great grandchildren to be enslaved for rest of their lives !!!!! many blacks was born in this country enslaved!!! never to be free

slavery was so cruel but so needed in the building of the US if you remove slavery from the US in 1600-1865 how would the US be able to build this country remember the main source of income ( export) was cotton .
