this is not the canon ending. this is the directors cut that was too much if a bummer so they cut and replaced it. Mike lives and gets back with his wife.

Anyone person that has a daughter about the same age as his little girl in this movie, that is as close to that baby girl like I am with mine. You will want to go and grab her in your arms and never want to let go of her. Just saying. This is the mild ending out of the 2 endings.

This is one of the greatest HORROR movies of all time!!! As for a HORROR movie goes, I will give this a 10 out of 10. As a regular movie, I will give it a 8 out of 10. Hard to make movies like this and make everyone happy.
