Alice in the Cities - 1974

Journalist Philip Winter comes with a case of writer's block when attempting to compose a post about the USA. He makes the decision to return to Germany, and while trying to book a new trip, experiences a German woman and her nine year-old daughter Alice performing exactly precisely the same. Both become friends (almost out of necessity) and also while the mommy asks Winter to obey Alice temporarily, it becomes apparent that Alice is likely to undoubtedly be his responsibility for longer than he ever expected. After returning to Europe, the friendship between Winter and Alice climbs as they travel through European cities to a pursuit for Alice's grandmother.
