ARMADILLO is an upfront account of cynicism and adrenaline dependence for soldiers at war. Mads and Daniel are about the first mission in Helmand, Afghanistan. Their platoon is stationed in Camp Armadillo, close to the Helmand frontline, fighting demanding battles . The soldiers is there to help the people, but as fighting gets tougher and operations increasingly hairy, Daniel Mads and their pals become cynical, widening the gap between the Afghan civilisation. Mistrust and paranoia emerge causing alienation and disillusion. Armadillo is a travel in to the soldier's mind and also a unique film on the mythological story of war and man, staged in Afghanistan in its version.
