The Newton family live in their comfortable home, but there seems to something missing. This"gap" is filled by a small puppy, that walks into their home and their own lives. Beethoven, as he is known as, grows to a giant of a dog... that a St Bernard. Doctor Varnick, the local vet has a dreadful and secret side-line, which necessitates a lot of dogs for experiments. Beethoven is on the list of the doctor.
