Throughout the 1940s, a group of teenagers go off to war, leaving Teddy. In Belfast, a guy named Jimmy jobs to go back a ring present at the wreckage of a plane. He travels to Michigan, where after Teddy was killed in struggle, the Ethel Ann, who married the other person , currently resides. Ethel Ann must decide whether to go to meet up with the soldier that saw Teddy living.
