Based on the true story of would-be Brooklyn bank robbers John Wojtowicz along with Salvatore Natural E. Sonny and Sal attempt a bank heist that turns sour and turned and standoff with the police. Since Sonny's motives for the robbery are slowly revealed and things become more complicated, the heist can become a media circus.
