Eva Doesn't Sleep - 2015

The strangest thing about this narrative is that it's true. Back in 1952, Eva Perón, Argentina First Lady, died of cancer. A renowned embalmer was commissioned by the grieving Juan Perón to preserve her own body for display, and Argentines flocked to function as close"Evita." When a military coup overthrew his administration, Perón fled the country before he could make arrangements for the transportation of the own body of his wife. The corpse was kidnapped by the junta currently in control. So fearful were they of the emblematic power of Eva that they even made it illegal to complete her name. Thus began the two-decade journey of Eva's body during Europe and back to Argentina.
