Dr. Génessier is bombarded with guilt after an injury that he caused disfigures the face of his daughter, the beautiful Christiane, that outsiders believe is dead. Dr. Génessier, together with accomplice and lab assistant Louise, kidnaps young women and attracts them to the Génessier mansion.
