Teenager Angus adopts a dog and names him Yellow. Several days later, while traveling over the shore of British Columbia with Angus's father, the boy John and dog become stranded when their boat capsize. Rescue teams are badgered by angus's parents. Angus, aided by the Imperial Dog, and schooled by his dad in jungle survival skills, tries to entice rescuers.
