Raoul Duke and his attorney Dr. Gonzo drive a red convertible across the Mojave desert to vegas with a bag full of drugs to pay for a motorcycle race. As their consumption of drugs increases at a alarming rate, the duo that is stoned fear repercussions and trash their hotel room. Duke begins to drive back to L.A., but after a strange runin with a cop, he also returns into las vegas and continues his own wild drug binge.
