Back in 1863, Mississippi farmer Newt Knight serves as a medic for the Army. Knight would prefer to help the injured than struggle with the Union. After his nephew expires in battle, Newt goes home to Jones County to protect his family however is branded an outlaw deserter. He finds refuge. Forging an alliance with all different farmers and the natives, Knight contributes.

As a man who enjoys movies for writing this movie is absolutely flawless and I cannot say I've seen a better written movie that this. The diversity is done so well, it's realistic and I love how the makers portrayed the story as it's absolutely mind-blowing. Easy 20/10
