Place in the landscape of a rural southern town,"George Washington" is a wonderful portrait of the way in which a group of children come to grips using a challenging world of alternatives and consequences. Throughout an game in an abandoned entertainment park, an associate of this group dies. Narrated by one of those kids, the film follows both the youngsters as they find it difficult to balance their ambitions and connections against a lie.
