When obscenely manager James sentenced to a stretch in San Quentin and is convicted of fraud, he is given a month to receive his affairs in order by the judge. Knowing he wont last a lot more than a couple of minutes on his own in prison, James desperately turns to get assistance -- a black guy who's never even had a parking ticket -- to Darnell. Since James is put by Darnell both learn that these have been wrong about lots of important things, including eachother.
