Summer 1863. The Confederacy pushes north into Pennsylvania. Union divisions converge to face them. Both great armies clash at Gettysburg, site of a theology school. i don't care how many times I watch this movie, it's always like I'm watching it for the first time. the best civil war movie EVER! and the score is one of the best I've ever heard....

I watch this being made. some of the cannons rattle my windows as I lived about 15 miles from Gettysburg. My Step father and he's Troup where even part of the background cast. he's gone now but when I show my grandkids he's in they they point him out every time now.
