Rachel is really a food writer at a New York magazine who ends up falling in love with him despite her reservations about marriage and matches with Washington columnist Mark at a marriage. They purchase a home, have a daughter, and Rachel thinks they have been living happily ever afterwards until she discovers that Mark is having an affair while she is waddling around with a pregnancy.
