Addie loses her grandmother's ring in the waves of Hawaii while preparing for her sister's wedding. She employs Jack, a scuba instructor, to look for her lost treasure. When Addie insists on accompanying Jack on the chase, they immediately quarrel. After they reach an arrangement, Jack becomes Addie's tour guide for the island's hidden treasures.
