More than 65 million people across the globe are forced from their homes to flee the displacement since World War II, famine, climate change and warfare. Film maker Ai Wei Wei assesses the staggering scale of this refugee catastrophe and its individual impact that is profoundly personal. Over the span of 12 months in 23 states, Wei Wei follows some chain of human stories which extend across the planet, including Germany, France, Greece, Afghanistan and Iraq.
