A girl named Kiki (Fuka Koshiba) must leave her house for a year to begin learning witchcraft. She leaves on her broom, but says goodbye to her friends and family. Kiki then begins her new life with her kitty Jiji that is trusted.

This was OK but not as good as the original. It followed the first half pretty good. Then they decided to rewrite the entire second half. What a mistake. What was the director thinking. Poorly written ending as well as directed. The memory of the anime is what supported it.
