I don't understand what so hard to get? The movie was thought provoking, creepy and even made me cringe a few times I think that's what the director was going for. The cast was awesome as well especially in the Emma Stone!

I have never watched the Exorcism but have seen comments pertaining to it being a crappy movie which wouldn't surprise me thou from the last few he had made except the road rage one that was watchable

it's a different kind of movie or really like 3-4 movies in one but I liked it I mean I probably won't watch it again but it makes you think and figure out what's going on in your own perception of what you think is happening and what it's about but it's worth the watch
