Lillian has been embraced and it's several decades after. Annie, pregnant and married, visits her fellow physician friend, Dr. Owen. Doctor Owen wants a baby, but seems unable to become pregnant. Lillian discovers a love interest, an assistant to her dad, the latter has become quite over protective.
