Jerry Day and Toni, his lovely wife, are at odds about their lifestyle. Jerry is unable of accepting responsibility, whilst Toni desires a family and an established life. The Days then "rediscover" Jerry's young daughter Pennie, who has been living with the wealthy family of his late wife. Pennie appears to be exactly what Jerry needs to reform his deceitful ways and lead a moral life. Jerry is persuaded by the corruptible influence of diamond thief Felix Evans, despite the responsibilities of his new family. Jerry's new family life is jeopardized when Evans entices him to accept a job offer.
