Mark Kaminsky is kicked out of the FBI. He pops up as the sheriff of a tiny city in Vermont. FBI Chief Harry Shannon, whose son was killed by a mobster called Patrovina, enlists Kaminsky at a vendetta with a promise of reinstatement if Patrovina is taken down. To achieve this, he needs to go undercover and combine the gang of Patrovina.
