Johan and Marianne are wed and seem to possess it all. Their enjoyment, however, can be really just a façade if Johan admits he's having an affair for a relationship, that becomes more rocky. They make efforts, although before the partners separate and move towards finalizing their divorce. Even as they pursue other connections, Marianne and Johan recognize they will have many issues that hinder that connection, but in addition a significant bond.
