New York police detective John Shaft arrests Walter Wade Jr. for a racially motivated slaying. However the one eyewitness disappears, also Wade jumps bail for Switzerland. Wade returns to face trial, convinced influence and his cash will probably get him acquitted -- especially since he's paid off a drug kingpin to kill the watch.

supposedly, there is another Shaft coming. I'm not sure how it will go down, but it's supposed to have all three Shaft characters from all 3 films, the 70's, the 2000 film, and the 2019 release.
