An experienced group of bank robbers, including Gordon Jennings (Idris Elba), John Rahway (Paul Walker), A.J. (Hayden Christensen), along with brothers Jake (Michael Ealy) along with Jesse Attica (Chris Brown) successfully complete their most recent heist and lead a life of luxury while planning their second job. When Ghost (Tip T.I. Harris), a former member in their team, is released from prison he convinces the group to attack an armored car taking $20 million. Whilst the"Takers" carefully plot their strategy and draw nearer to exacting the grand heist, a rash officer (Matt Dillon) inches closer to apprehending the criminals.
