A drive in favorite, this scifi classic follows teen-agers Steve Jane, and his girl, while they attempt to protect their hometown from the gelatinous alien lifeform which engulfs whatever it touches. The very first ever to discover the stuff and live to share it, Steve and Jane witness the blob destroying an elderly individual and develop into a size that is terrifying. However, no one has seen the goo, and policeman Dave refuses to believe the children without even proof.
