Based on the book of the Bible, Genesis is a poetic and sweeping look at the beginning of person's relationship with God. While Jochebed (Venus Monique) hides at a shelter to defend her son from being murdered, she tells him the story of her people on the span of a dangerous evening. This film explores the notion that the journey is going to be filled with beauty, hardship, and also also a desire to trust the Creator, although that humanity will one day come back to the location where we started.
