Mahree Bok lives in a farm in South Africa. Her dad is a policeman who cannot hide his joy once the South African governments catch activist Steve Biko. Piper Dellums is a US congressman from California's girl and that lives in a nice home in Washington DC. When Mahree is preferred to devote a semester at the Dellums' house, she does not anticipate that her host family could be black. Nor do her hosts guess that she isn't a black South African.
