Thad Beaumont is the author of a highly successful series of violent pulp thrillers written under the pseudonym of'George Stark', however if he determines to'kill-off' his or her alter-ego at a mock ceremony, it precipitates a series of sadistic murders matching those in his pulp books, which can be soon discovered to be the job of Stark himself. Seeking a maniacal edition of the counterpart, Stark is not so willing to give up the writing match -- even though it means arriving after his baby and Thad's wife.
