As a golden chance to produce a lot of money in beef, Jeff Webster sees the start of Klondike gold rush in 1896. . .and woe betide anybody standing in his way! He drives a cattle herd by Wyoming to Seattle, by ship to Skagway, also (after a delay caused by larcenous town manager Gannon) through the hills to Dawson. There, he and his partner Ben Tatum get into the industry that is gold . He thinks turning his back, although two women autumn for misanthropic Jeff. . .until home finally strikes.
