Justin McLeod is a teacher who lives as a recluse on the border of town after his face was disfigured in an automobile accident ten years earlier, in which there had been a boy incinerated -- and for which he had been convicted of involuntary manslaughter. Suspected to be a paedophile, he's befriended by Chuck, faking and inducing town's suspicions to be sparked.
