Years after his group was ambushed during the Gulf War, Major Ben Marco finds himself with nightmares. He begins to doubt that his fellow squadmate Sergeant Raymond Shaw, now a vice-presidential offender, may be that the hero he remembers him. As Marco's doubts deepen, the political power of Shaw grows, and, of what really happened, the memory begins to come back, when Marco finds a mysterious implant embedded into his back.
