Thank the Lord not another Tyler Perry movie!! this director is a real black female, job well done bringing this story to the big screen solid acting (keep an eye out on Uza from Orange is the new Black Crazy Eyes ) she's also in Greedy People .overall I give this movie an 8

If your a Fan of the book. You will likely get a lot more out of the film adaptation of this movie it seems to hit the high points of the story while neglecting much of what comes in between. Jesus it has so much texture, color, and light with an All star cast. 🙏🏿

The movie has a good story line but why was it necessary to ridicule the church. Just like some felt they needed to give in to Pee Diddies thing to make it in the record industry, others give in to bad mouthing the church or Jesus to make it in the film industry.
