In 16th century Japan, Tobei and peasants Genjuro sell their earthenware pots in defiance of a regional sage's warning against seeking to make money from warfare. Genjuro's pursuit of the mysterious Lady Wakasa and the riches, in addition to the urge to be a samurai of Tobei, run the risk of destroying both themselves and their wives, Ohama and Miyagi.

Kurosawa is one of the most, talented directors. The epics, Rashomon , 7th Samurai, are films that should be on any new or old fans of Foreign, Japanese films.
