Suffering from severe kidney failure, Boonmee has chosen to devote his final days. Surprisingly, the ghost of the wife generally seems to care for him, and also his prodigal son returns home in a non human form. Contemplating the explanations Boonmee treks through the jungle along together with his family to a hill-top cave--the birthplace of the life.
