Bread - 1986
1986
4.1
Bread is really just a television sitcom, produced by the BBC, written by Carla Lane and screened on BBC1 from 1 May 1986 to 3 November 1991.The show focused on the devoutly-Catholic and extended Boswell family of Liverpool, in the field of Dingle, headed to its matriarch Nellie via a number of ups and downs since they strove to produce their way through life in Thatcher's Britain without a visible way of support. The street shown at the start of every programme is Elswick Street. A family named Boswell had featured Lane sitcom The Liver Birds and Lane confessed that the two families have been probably related.Estranged husband and nellie's feckless, Freddie, abandoned her for another woman called as'Lilo Lill'. Her kiddies Adrian, Jack, Joey, Aveline and Billy contributed money to the fundamental family finance through benefit fraud and the selling of goods and continued to live in the home in Kelsall Street.
