Flipper, by Ivan Tors Movies in association with Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Television, is an American television program broadcast on NBC in September 1-9, 1964, until April 15, 1967. A bottlenose dolphin, flipper, is the company creature of Porter Ricks, Chief Warden at fictional Coral Key Park and Marine Preserve in Florida, along with his two sons, Sandy and Bud. The series has been called an"aquatic Lassie", and also a significant number of Allied product inspired by the series was produced during its first-run.
