JAG is an American legal drama tv show with a different military motif, created by Donald P. Bellisario, also made by Belisarius Productions in association with Paramount Network Television. The season was co-produced using NBC Productions.Originally conceived as a Premier Gun matches A Few Good Men, the pilot episode of JAG first aired on NBC on September 2-3, 1995. However, the show was canceled May 22, 1996 after 79th at the ratings, leaving just one episode unaired. Rival network CBS acquired the string to get a midseason replacement, beginning on January 3, 1997. CBS's decision proved to be quite a great move, as JAG has been about the air for nine seasons and for seasons rose in the ratings. JAG spawned the hit show NCIS, which spun a second struck off, NCIS: Los Angeles.Over 10 seasons episodes were produced Altogether and JAG was throughout its 5th season seen in over 100 countries. JAG was so popular it entered syndication in 1999 and it's regularly replicated.
