Rick is just a scientifically-gifted although mentally-unbalanced old man who has reconnected with his family. He spends all his time between his young grandson Morty in reckless, eccentric adventures all through space and alternate universes. Compounded with the already shaky family of Morty, these events cause Morty distress in your home and school.
