Robin Hood is actually a television program, produced by independent production company Tiger Aspect Productions for BBC One, with co-funding from the BBC America cable channel in the USA. Based on the conventional stories of legendary British folk hero Robin Hood, the programme started on 7 October 2006. Series two commenced broadcasting on 6 October 2007 with the last two episodes on 29 December 2007. Series three started broadcasting on 28 for a thirteen episode. The show had been axed by the BBC for example actor Jonas Armstrong, later show three following a departure of personalities.
