The series introduced 4 specials and three seasons -- including 2004.The title indicates the host of this series, Canadian filmmaker and survival expert Les Stroud, who had survival expertise and wisdom to survive for as many as ten days videotaping his experiences from remote locales where he brought with him no or little food, water, or equipment. Based on the show's internet site, each location was scouted and pre-planned widely by Stroud. The simple fact that Stroud spent time is a significant focal point of this series.
