The Monkees is an American situation comedy that aired on NBC in September 1966. The show follows the adventures of four men trying to make a name for her as rock'n roll champions. The series introduced several innovative film methods that were new wave to show television and won two Emmy Awards. The program it has received syndication and a long afterlife during Saturday morning repeats, in addition to over seas broadcasts and ended at the finish of its second season on Labor Day.
