Ajin is just a version of a manga series written and illustrated by Gamon Sakurai. Kei Nagai dies in an auto crash, but realises he could be a kind of immortal known as Ajin (demi-human). Hunted by humans, the government finally finds Ajin and used as an interest in experiments. He discovers fellow demi-humans over how he escapes and goes on the series.
