when she tells him that that's marriage you being honest he knew what he was getting into the moment he met her he knew there was something off but he chose to ignore it because he loved her like he said he wanted to be the man that he knew he was not just to please her

Wow, that was messed up. Don't "believe all women". The book was marvelous though, and unexpected twist at the end, I'd recommend the book instead of the movie though. But both are still a great experience.
