For years, old wood-carver Mr. Meacham has delighted local children with his stories of this fierce drag on that resides deep into the forests of the Pacific Northwest. To his daughter, Grace, that works as a forest ranger, these stories are barely more than tall stories... until she meets Pete, a mysterious 10-year-old with no family and no dwelling that claims to live in the forests with a giant, green monster named Elliott. And out of Pete's descriptions, the Elliott seems remarkably just like this drag on by Mr. Meacham's stories.
