Story of working class Yorkshire life. Two school girls have a sexual relationship with a married person. Light-hearted and serious by turns. Rita, Sue And Bob Too was adapted by Andrea Dunbar from two of her controversial plays. Rita (Siobhan Finneran) and Sue (Michelle Holmes) are two adolescents residing on a rundown council estate in Bradford who share a job babysitting for Bob (George Costigan) along with Michelle's (Lesley Sharp) kiddies. One night, Bob decides to take up Rita and Sue to deserted, country side landscape whilst going for a lift home. Knowing what he's got at heart, Sue and Rita are simply too happy to oblige and have a sexual encounter with him which becomes a normal phenomenon. As a controversial, though enduringly amusing film which includes a sharp, gritty undertone, this can seem despite the film's blatant politically-incorrect nature.
