Britt Reid (Seth Rogen), the heir to the most significant newspaper luck in Los Angeles, is now really just a spoiled playboy who was, thus far, happy to lead an aimless existence. After his father (Tom Wilkinson) dies, Britt meets Kato (Jay Chou), a resourceful firm worker. Realizing that they will have the ability and resources to make something of the own lives, Britt and Kato get together as costumed crime-fighters to bring down the city's most-powerful criminal, Chudnofsky (Christoph Waltz).
