Dependent on the drama of the exact same name by Pulitzer prizewinner Cormac McCarthy, this searing two-character drama blends humor and pathos while examining the association between strangers who are brought by dire circumstances. Place in a New York tenement apartment, the story focuses on two completely different men - a deeply religious black ex con who thwarts the suicide effort of an asocial white faculty professor who strove to throw himself in front of the oncoming subway train,'The Sun Set Limited.' Whilst usually the one attempts to connect on a level that is spiritual, reasonable and emotional, the other remains steadfast in their own despair. Locked at a debate, both defend their individual credos and try to convert the other.
