Arthur & George is a three-part Version of Julian Barnes' novel about Sherlock Holmes creator Arthur Conan Doyle as played by actor Martin Clunes. Set at Hampshire, Staffordshire and London in 1906 the play follows his secretary and Sir Arthur, Alfred'Woodie' Wood as they explore the case of George Edalji, a new solicitor who was detained for writing obscene letters and allegedly mutilating animals.
